
Energy to Maine

Mainers will benefit from more affordable, cleaner electricity through the Clean Energy Corridor. All in, it is a $200 million upgrade to Maine’s utility grid.
- Direct to Maine – the Clean Energy Corridor will deliver renewable energy direct to Maine’s power grid, enough energy to power 70,000 Maine homes
- Maine electric bill$ – the Clean Energy Corridor will provide $140 million in electric rate relief to Mainers
- Low-income family assistance – the Clean Energy Corridor has committed $50 million in additional rate relief for low-income Mainers to help with their energy costs
- Broadband expansion – the project also provides $15 million for fiber optic cable and broadband expansion in Western Maine counties
